On her morning routine.

I’m usually up between 6.30 and 7 AM.

The first thing I do is have warm water with lemon. I swear by it!

Since the studios are open before I’m awake, I’ll quickly check my phone to make sure that there are no fires that need to be put out.

Then I’ll have a full breakfast and a cup of tea before jumping straight into my workout. Working out has been a lifesaver for me ever since I started my career.

On early morning workouts.

I feel a huge difference if I don’t work out in the morning.

During the week, I just need to do something to move my body and get my juices flowing. Weekends are my rest days.

I’m almost 15 years into having it be a part of my daily routine, so I can’t imagine a world where I don’t start my day without a workout.

It’s just how I get my mind going.

Early on, I made the connection between my levels of stress and anxiety, and how much physical fitness helps me overcome them.

Having those 45 minutes to myself helps me calm down and focus on doing one thing. It’s my form of meditation.

When I first started off in investment banking, I was grinding 24/7.

However, I didn’t really mind it at the time because I was young and hungry and wanted to make a name for myself. Working out in the morning even after a late night was still my secret to making sure I had 45 minutes to myself.

On overcoming fatigue.

Whenever things start to get too hectic, I step out for a quick walk around the block. Even at work, I really enjoy my 10-minute walk to pick up my food.

It’s a nice reset and gives my mind a break from constantly thinking about next steps and action items.

I also don’t drink any kind of caffeine past noon, so I love to separate myself from my screen to give my brain a chance to breathe and just be still for a bit.

On working weekends.

Under normal circumstances, I’d be in a Rumble studio on Saturday and Sunday.

That’s definitely the fun part of my job because it doesn’t involve email triage and meetings. In my line of work, I don’t have the luxury to turn off my phone because we’re a 7-day business.

I also use the weekends to think about Rumble's long-term growth aims and big-picture questions, ideas that I don’t always have time for during the week. That being said, I do my best to balance my love for work and my love for my family.

As I’ve matured, I’ve gained more control over how I spend my time and what needs to get done.

What I do for work is a huge part of my life and it’s something that I love.

On rest and recovery.

Whenever I have a really long day, I know the one thing that will help my mind and body feel better is rest. Recovery is everything for me.

Putting my phone down and taking a bath is one of the most relaxing things I can do for myself, both physically and mentally.

Regardless of whether I’ve had a good or bad day, a bath gives me my time to be alone with myself, listen to some good music, and review the day.

If I’m feeling really run down, I prioritize sleep.

I’m not someone who skimps on sleep. There’s nothing that I can do when I’m awake that can make up for 5 hours of sleep.

I just can’t function if I don’t get 8 hours of sleep.

On winding down at night.

My wind down varies pretty drastically. It could start anywhere from 7 to 8.30, depending on what’s going on at work.

That being said, I always make sure to stop starting anything new by 6.30 so that I can be wrapped up by 7.

Most nights I’ll either cook or order out, depending on my mood for the night.

I’ll have a family dinner, followed by a bath and some wind-down time reading and watching something. I’m guilty of checking email again just to make sure all my studios on both coasts are all in the clear.

Sleep comes pretty naturally to me, but I do swear by blackout shades!

Finally, I’m in bed by 10 PM at the latest and knock out pretty quickly.
